Tour de France

The Tour de France is the most prestigious cycling race, as well as the biggest annual sports celebration in the world. Since its creation in 1903, it has been the theatre of relentless battles between the greatest champions, who compete during 3 weeks and 21 stages to win the most prized trophy in cycling: the "Maillot Jaune". The Tour de France is organised by Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO). ASO owns, designs and organises top international sporting events. Specialised in the ‘non-stadia’ events, it has in-house knowledge of professions linked to organisation, media and sales of sports events. Besides the Tour de France, ASO organises some of the biggest cycling races all throughout the year, including La Vuelta, Paris-Roubaix, the Arctic Race of Norway, etc. Since 2022, it also organises the Women's Tour de France: the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift. In addition to cycling, ASO is also heavily involved in motorsport with the Dakar Rally, and in mass events such as the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris, l'Etape du Tour, the Roc d'Azur CIC, etc.
