Back in 1998, Charlotte and Philippe Guéniau were living a busy life in Paris. They had good jobs and a good life – but something was missing. After 15 years in the city, and with their newly born son, they started dreaming of something else. A slower pace. More color. More freedom. And a little more room for adventure. The idea of rice had been quietly growing for a while – and now it was time to bring it to life.

And that’s how rice began – with a desire to make everyday life more joyful. Designing a life filled with everyday magic. From day one, the mission was clear: Fun. Funky. Functional. Not just a tagline, but a way of thinking.

Today, rice brings colorful joy to homes in over 45 countries. We’re around 50 people at HQ – and still guided by the same spirit. We design with a twinkle in the eye and a deep love for the everyday moments that truly matter.

Because magic doesn’t have to be big. It just has to feel right.
